Odd Weather uses your location only to show weather for where you are. Your location is sent to weather providers when the app fetches a forecast.
The app does not require an account, does not collect your identity, and does not sell personal data. It is a weather app, not a tiny detective in a trench coat.
You can also search for a city manually instead of using your current location.
Weather Data
Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo, with MET Norway as a backup provider when needed.
Forecasts can be wrong, late, dramatic, or weirdly confident. Always check real-world conditions before making weather-dependent decisions.
Recommendations & Weird Facts
Odd Weather may show tiny advice about outfits, golf, boats, warnings, and other daily choices. This advice is for convenience and entertainment, not safety-critical guidance.
Do not use the app as your only source for boating, storm safety, travel, medical decisions, or anything where being wrong would be more than mildly annoying.
Bonus facts are included for fun. They may be simplified, silly, or wearing a tiny fake moustache. Treat them as entertainment, not peer-reviewed science homework.
